We entered the Kathmandu Valley in a smooth-sunny morning. Giant stupas and Buddhist pagodas still dominate the landscape. A peaceful communist demonstration was crossing the capital. For the next ten days, children and monks were our constant companions wherever we were and the semi-god saddhus appeared then, and from the last hundreds of years, to remind us of material detachment, faith and searching for spiritual elevation.
