Asilah, Marrakesh, Erfoud, Sahara Desert, Fés, Chefchauen and Ceuta. We spent a month traveling in Morocco, around 1.200 kilometers hitchhiking on the road. Marrakesh, as Sarajevo, Jerusalem, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, and, of course, the Sahara Desert have always intrigued me just on hearing their names. So there we were, losing ourselves in narrow streets of the ancient Medina, listening to Koranic prayers and Berber dialects and then, complete silence and emptiness of the Desert.
